Somerset Genealogys Reach and Follow-up-Service

Somerset Genealogy has been running now for over four years.  We have a very good local knowledge base and an excellent library and over 25 years of experience.  We have invested much time, money and effort to offer the best possible service to people wishing to discover their family history.

We offer an affordable service (£14 an hour desktop research and £160 a day for a full days research - including ALL COSTS - at local archives) and have an excellent success rate.

However, sometimes documents just do not exist or have been misplaced for certain reasons.  When the usual document trail dries up, local knowledge and especially local people are the next and best option.  This is when we write-up a 'Seeking' blogpost (if you click on the blue 'Seeking' label at the bottom of the page, all 'Seeking' posts are pulled-up).  After all other avenues are exhausted we seek-out other options to reach-out to the general public.

Somerset Genealogys' blog has a good 'hit' rate as we use labelling to catch Google's eye in searches.  To-date we have over 55,000 page views.

Clients who have used our service; and to which we have formed no conclusive evidence due to lack of documentation; have an option for a blogpost to be written.  This we do free of charge and that particle blogpost stays online for as long as it takes for someone to find it and reply.  This has been extremely successful in past hard-to-crack cases.

We believe in offering the best 'follow-up-Service' for clients who have invested in our services.  We do our best to give customers what they want, that being answers to their family history.
