Searching for Bury's

What's in a Name?

Did you know that people here in Somerset pronounce Glastonbury as Glastonbrie (as in the cheese).

So if you are searching for any Bury's or Berry's, bear in mind that the phonetics will probably be carried over into parish and other records.

I was recently searching for an Annie Bambury.  I found her listed as Anna Bambrey and on some census records, she is listed as Annie Bambry.

A short post, I know, but these little things can and do make a difference in your searches.
