1926 Bridg(e)water Pageant

A lovely old film that seems to be reenacting the Battle of Sedgemoor which took place during the Monmouth Rebellion.

A similar Pageant was taking place in Taunton around the same time.  I'm not entirely sure if it has to do with the Monmouth Rebellion.  However the little girl giving something to the important man (Duke of Monmouth Charactor?) may represent the Taunton Maids that were given away as Christmas boxes by King James.
